HOT OFF THE PRESS
Management of the CONTRACTOR COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME HAS BEEN AWARDED TO IMPRESS
It is driven by need for Client companies to demonstrate the prescence of a fully competent workforce on their sites including those sub-contract staff brought in from Contractor organisations
This is already causing a growth in enquiries for adult skills training and qualifications and expected to cause a rush for adult training in the year 2000. It is anticipated that a company audit system will be introduced first to check compliance with recruitment systems/qualification ratings and skill development plans. This will eventually be followed by assessment of individuals towards one or two Units of Competence only initially i.e.) part of an NVQ qualification in a specialisation subject only. Full training towards formal qualifications will come in the medium term. Experienced time-served staff will largely be able to satisfy NVQ assessors by Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) Impress has access to ESF funding to assist in training grants towards the costs of training for qualifications and skills Contact us at Impress for more information on (01469) 515313 or (01469) 515314 or E-mail [email protected]
